Where are you from, and one thing you love about it?

I'm not sure if this answers your question but I feel like I'm from many places at once, while simultaneously being from nowhere. I was born in the U.S but moved away before I was 4. Since, I have been lucky enough to have lived in 4 different countries by the time I was 18. I love the fact that I have experienced so many different cultures and have gotten to meet great people. When I was younger, I never really appreciated my childhood, and for a long time, I resented not having a real "home" or a sense of belonging to a particular place. I hated the fact that I didn't have a home town. When people asked me where I was from, I dreaded having to tell me people that I don't really know where I'm from. It made me feel insecure and in a way, snobby.

It wasn't until I had met people who had never left their state or country, that I truly realized how lucky I am. To this day, I think it's once of greatest gifts my parents could have given me and my siblings. Having a unique perspective on things has not only helped me career wise but It has helped me make friends too. It's also made me really appreciate my parents. Not that I wouldn't otherwise, but I realize now how stressful it must have been for them. I hope one day I'll be able to do the same for my kids.

I basically love the fact that I'm not really from anywhere. Sorry if this comes off as humble brag. Sorry if this wasn't the type of answer you were looking for or if I comes off as a humble brag. It really isn't my intention. I never really get to explain this side of my life to people so a little release feels good.
