Where are the medical standards for the European Union written?

EU Medical Standards.

Where are the medical standards for the European Union written? I used to be in construction. We operated with the International Residential Codes (IRC for short (and "the bare fucking minimum" in engineer)). I want to know if there is some equivalent in the European Union for medical doctors. Do they have a set of codes that, when in doubt, they can follow? I am completely out of the loop in medical terminology and am wondering where to start my search.

In the European Union, medical standards are established by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA). The EMA is responsible for regulating and approving medicines for use within the EU, while the FRA ensures that the fundamental rights of EU citizens are protected in healthcare settings.

The medical standards established by these agencies are based on EU legislation, including directives, regulations, and guidelines. The standards cover a wide range of areas, including clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, quality control, and patient safety.

In addition to EU-wide standards, each member state may also have its own set of regulations and guidelines that medical professionals must follow. These may be based on EU standards or may be more specific to the particular country.
