Where did our "real" forums go?!

Thanks Dexella for posting here. I have questions about your answers: 1 -I am wondering about the Rallying Calls and use of Roesong in the EQN as presented to us in the Soe early videos but realize this is too early to answer perhaps. It may be what Syra was referring to, in regard to 'a diff. game'. 2- I do not like Reddits upvote/downvote. These features distract from a serious discussion and often are used to harrass anyone who dosen't like a poster. What other games depend on Reddit for their front lobby? I learned to use Twitter for LM. It is not reliable as there is no way to know who is going to be posting an important announcement or when. And, I made the mistake of sending a tweet to a dev. who posted that it was their personal site not for gameing. And yet it is on the Eqn twitter feed. Makes me a bit gun shy. I personally will not use FaceBook for anything. One experience was enough. It is a very dangerous medium, far too invasive. 3- closing the forums feed in news and announcements, along with the bug feeds isolates us, the players, even more from the dev.s and is not imparting the 'transparency' touted. We are a tight knit group on chat in game: and there is where I get my information. Someone says Terry tweeted this today...and we all rush to see it. Someone else says I saw on FB, and I just listen. I do understand there are reasons behind the scenes for doing things this way. I do not understand it personally. LM and EQN (although still not to alpha yet I know) need the special sense of community that the EQ crowd has carried with it since '99. This is not helping that tight knit community feeling, Imo.

We have too many places to go to for information that could help us be better beta testers. And too long between answers that could help us to do that better. I am sorry that it has come to this. I enjoyed that community feeling. Maybe it will come back later.
