Where does Mitchell Miller go from here?

Why is something he did at 14 ruining his professional career forever? Even if he’s a complete scumbag still I fail to understand the actions of a 14 year old removing him from professional consideration of a professional sport? I agree he’s a scum bag but holding actions of a 14 year old against him so he can never have a job again. Pretty sure this is the opposite of an ethical solution. He just doesn’t deserve a second chance because society deems it that way. Take away what he did before he was even an adult, how can we even be sure either kid will remember this in 3 years? Why can he never play professional hockey due to bullying? It’s bullying. Oh yeah if I bully someone am I going to be barred from being a lawyer for my entire life working my professional career? What a shitty precedent to promote that if you make on questionable mistake your life is DONE. Even if you’re 14 during the mistake.

Edit: I’ve done my research on the situation and still don’t think the punishment fits the crime. If he did it in recent years AS AN ADULT. SURE.
