I don’t think UFC is ever going back to human cock fighting. The rule changes all but ensured that. Back then people were getting soccer kicked into KOs and that truly looked like street fighting where anything goes. These days the sport is so skillful so I can’t ever see that happening.

Trash talk is going to be around forever. It’s existed for years in sports and will continue. The big problem though with trash talk is you have to back it up. Conor’s done that so far and no one could say shit before because he was KO’ing people left and right. Khabibs the first guy that put a legit ass whooping on the guy and thus the first guy that could actually say something about it. I like Conor and Khabib both but not everyone is going to take shit talk and just let it go and hug it out after a fight. If you open that can of worms with someone you have to deal with the aftermath one way or another.

This whole thing will blow over. Far worse things have happened in even milder sports like baseball and they have bench clearing brawls monthly.
