I am Australian. When I graduated from high school I went to London for a few months where I ended up doing some volunteer work at a school. Cut to the following year, I’m back in Australia and on a road trip with my friends. We were in Sydney, which is 14 hour drive from where I live, so we were exploring Sydney as tourists ourselves. So one afternoon we hopped on a ferry to travel across the Sydney harbour. We walked around the ferry looking for the prime selfie/photo shoot spot. The spot we chose was directly next to a man who turned out to be one of the teachers from the school I volunteered at in London the year before. He still lived in London and was just on holiday in Australia.

Such a surreal experience.
