Where do we need to bulk up most? And who are likely targets/prospects?

well we are not guaranteed to have manquillo, and quite frankly, i suspect he'll get recalled by athletico. ibe and sterling should not play there long term, i see them as a Striker and AM respectively. marko definitely should not be playing there long term, nor lallana, because they are both AM who should be playing closer to goal. Marko can also play striker. so that leaves flanno and moreno right now. we still need a rb, someone in the mould of clyne or even a danilo. BR absolutely does not see ibe, marko or sterling as wingbacks long term and clyne would be a great pick up. I think we keep enrique as back up to moreno (who seems to be in great condition fitness wise). flanno to back up/compete for starting spot with whoever we buy (and maybe that play is manquillo!). i also do not agree, i think 3-4-2-1 is a great system and has been working for us...but i think once we get a few more pieces, we will be more deadly playing in a 4-3-3, 4-1-3-2 or 4-3-2-1 (all essentially same thing, just some minor tweaks). we have all of the cbs we need and i cannot justify spending more money on cbs when we've spent upwards of 45m on them in the past 2 season (sahko, ilori and lovren). this gives us depth in sahko, skrtel, lovren, ilori, and kolo (for 2 starting spots) and wisdom is coming back and could play rb/cb. if we do sell enrique then i see flanno as the competing lb with moreno, and i see wisdom + new signing competing on the right.

in the center of the park, we only have allen and hendo as guaranteed to be here for next season. hendo will definitely sign a new contract when the season ends and is a big part of the squad (much to the chagrin of most of the fans on this sub). we have teixeira coming back, alberto (who i think could make it as a deep lying playmaker a la xabi alonso), coutinho, lallana and rossiter and williams who are all in the mix for cm. i see sterlings long term in cam position, i see ibe long term as a striker/second striker/winger. i think we will probably also be in the market, but not necessarily hurting for, another gk. and finally, i think aspas, borini, balotelli/lambert and yesil will all be shipped out this summer. im not sure if br truly doesn't like balotelli, if he doesn't, he's gone. if he does and has been just adjusting him to our style, lambert is gone. that would leave us with sturridge, origi, lambert/balo and the possible need for another striker. that player could be sinclair, that player could be ibe, it could be marko. who knows, but i think there is going to be a semi major clear out of dead wood this summer. a lot of youth players who won't make it: brad smith, mclaughlin, dunn, kevin stewart, lussey, yesil...then you throw on senior players who are possible shouts for leaving/they are leaving: stevie, lucas, lambert, enrique, alberto, aspas, borini, manq...so anyways i think we have the solid, young core that BR was looking for and now he's going to build around raheem, ibe, allen, moreno, sahko, hendo and coutinho. sturridge is too brittle to build around, but he is a game changer. anyways a bit of a rant but those are my 50 cents lol
