Where do I shop for an engagement ring?

I stumbled upon MSP Jewelers in Uptown when I was shopping for an engagement ring last spring. I cannot recommend them enough! I don’t comment on Reddit often but I have to give them a shoutout here.

Ryan and Tony (they’re the owners and the only two people that work there) were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and honest. Their diamonds are much cheaper than what you’ll find at the big box stores. They might be very slightly more expensive than Blue Nile or James Allen, but the experience was 100% worth it - still much cheaper than any of brick and mortar stores (I looked at Knox and another place I can’t remember).

I met with Ryan probably about 6 times before I picked up the ring because we wanted to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. He was very patient with me. I went in not knowing much about diamonds and he didn’t mind that I’d want to go home and do a lot of my own research to verify the stuff he was telling me. I was concerned that he was just a good salesman at first, but I used r/personalfinance and another sub (can’t remember which) to verify the things I learned and it all checked out.

There’s a reason they only have 5 star reviews on Google. I’ll be going back in a couple months to have our wedding bands designed!
