Where is this so-called 7% inflation everyone's talking about? Where I live (~150k pop. county), half my groceries' prices are up ~30% on average. Anyone else? How are you coping with the increased expenses?

Why are you using an analogy that suggests people stopped paying for the higher priced goods?

I am still paying for housing. People within leases are still paying for rent. All of these people are still paying for housing. The MAJORITY of people still paying for housing are not paying 20% more. So, the total housing cost of living increase in our entire country can not be said to be 20%, because it isn't.

You seem to be suggesting that only one statistic matters: new housing costs. I make no argument either way, there.

But you are going further to conflate new housing costs with total cost of living increase across the country, and at this point I suspect you are just digging your heels in because you don't like to be wrong.
