The issue isn’t finding a source that shows minutes vs appearances, it’s finding a source that shows the players at all. If I wanted to go back to the 90s and early 2000s when the rosters were really dominated by college players, some players were in and out of soccer before some stats sites started tracking data, and they’re not likely to go digging up data on an American youth player who played mostly in college and played a couple years in a nascent MLS and then retired.

I started out using transfermarkt, but got suspicious of its reliability in this area when one of the player’s info didn’t match up with their mlssoccer.com stats page. There might be some place out there that reliably has that information, but I haven’t found it yet.
