Where would Andy Reid rank among all coaches if they win the Super Bowl? This will be his 4th appearance, and potentially his second win.

  • BB (obvious)
  • Landry (obvious)
  • Halas (obvious)
  • Walsh (3 for 3 in SBs/10 of 14 in postseason, innovated modern West Coast/using pass-catching RBS, sprouted the tree Andy Reid himself comes from)
  • Noll (4 for 4 in SBs, IIRC developed 11 HOF players without modern resources)
  • Lombardi (obvious)
  • Joe Gibbs (stated below)
  • Jimmy Johnson ( first to win National Championship and SB, engineered Dallas' turnaround, 2 SBs that'd easily be 3 if not at least 4 if not for Jerry Jones' ego)

I think we can healthily debate Andy Reid vs. Paul Brown and Bill Parcels if Reid wins a second SB. 4 SB appearances/10 conference appearances in the modern game, He's been a QB whisperer, was running a pure passing scheme way before it became meta, he's always adapting his personnel to top offenses for like 20 straight years

I guess Andy's knocks would be his flaws have never really changed and some will prob. point to having Jim Johnson run elite defenses in Philly and lucking into incredible natural talents in KC (though surely Reid gets credit for harnessing Mahomes' raw talent)
