I lied. Her name is Susan Wojcicki and I have no idea what she's ever done for the community. Ever. I understand that YouTube is a self sufficient and system and Google would like to maximize ad profits by have as few employees as possible, but when it comes to a point where less than 1% of the YouTube community knows what's going on, or who's supposed to be running things, then somethings wrong, which we very clearly see here. Bring that up in another video.
There's a lot of problems with YouTube right now. They've gotten used to just letting people complain for 2 months straight when somethings wrong, like when they changed the layout and fucked it up. Cut Adsense profits. Shoved Google plus down our throats. All of that needs to be mentioned IMO.
I can't do much except try to tweet at YouTubes CEO, who I'm sure doesn't run her Twitter or even thinks about it, or her Google + page. We need people who have a strong following to storm Twitter. This hashtag from OPs video is a good start and I think you should work with that. I can't really have my SO do anything since she only has 11K subs and runs a make up channel.
Your Amazon video was a really good idea, and I think you should try to incorporate what you want, where you can.
The reality is that someone, somewhere, knows that this shit is going on.
Google got pissed when Amazon got Twitch. So pissed that they spent probably millions of not hundreds of thousands getting YouTube gaming set up. It was broken from the start and got more smooth, but still not enough break twitch.
The fact that Amazon exists, and that it literally pissed off YouTube means that there's something there that knows what's going on and just isn't doing something about, and it also, more importantly, means that YouTube isn't invincible. It's a diamond hard monopoly, but it won't last if it doesn't change.
