I don't believe in blank check safety nets for corporations and corporate welfare because we all have seen how that works out in the United States. But... I'm fine with safety nets for individual citizens because it can encourage people to be willing to take risks. This can be good for capitalism, so I have no problem with it.

And yes. I don't buy into this anarcho-capitalism bullshit modern conservatives have been pushing as the definition of capitalism. The idea that careful regulation to protect the free market and the environmental/societal bedrock that corporations and business is built upon being somehow incompatible with capitalism is bullshit.
