Which album do you think has the most sequentially perfect track list?

Debut’s track list order is great.

Come out of the gates with three hard hitters in Tim McGraw, Picture to Burn, and Teardrops.

Then have A Place In This World, Cold As You, The Outside, and Tied Together With A Smile all of which tell stories of vulnerability and work really well together. Ending that segment off with TTWAS is really powerful as it shows Taylor going from being the one on the outside lonely to helping others struggling and it also shows a reflection that even those who seem to be on the inside and lack the vulnerability of the prior three songs may really be struggling more than we know.

Then a bit of a breather from the emotional intensity with Stay Beautiful.

Then to give the latter end of the album a kick of energy comes in Should’ve Said No.

Then end with Mary’s Song and Our Song to show Taylor’s strength at happy love songs too. And of course ending with “play it again, play it agaaaaaiiiin”.
