Which breed is right for me?

•Do you have other pets? Currently I do not have other pets but we would be looking to add a dog eventually.

•Who do you live with or are you single? Right now it is just my Fiance and I in a house with a decent sized back yard.

•How much shedding, barking, farting and drooling can you tolerate? I want minimal shedding and drooling. Barking, farting, and any of that other stuff doesn't really bother me.

•How much grooming do you want to do, or how often can you pay a professional to groom him? I would like to keep the grooming to a minimum but would be willing to go up to once a month.

•What's your activity level? We are fairly active, we work during the day so the dog would have to be ok by itself for about 8 hours. However we would be able to give an hour in the morning for exercise and a couple after work.

•How much time a day can you give to walking and playing with the dog? See above

•How often will the dog be left alone and for how long? around 8 hours during the day during the week

•If needed, could you hire someone to walk your dog when you can't be home, pay for a doggy daycare, or come home at lunch to break up the day for him? yes, it could be arranged to have doggy day care or a dog walker during the day.

•How trainable does your dog need to be? I would love a dog that is trainable, I would want to work on nose work and off leash recall. I'm not opposed to a stubborn dog as it presents a fun challenge for myself and the dog!

•How important is having your dog off-leash? I have had dogs that can't be off leash. I would like to have a dog that is able to be trained to act well off leash. This is not too important, what is more important would be a dog that is not dog or people aggressive.

•Do you live in an apartment? Or moving in the next 5 years? We live in a house with no plans of moving.

•Are there breed or size restrictions (understanding that some breeds may make it more difficult to find housing)? No.

•Do you understand that dogs can live up to 15+ years? I am well aware of dogs life span, I've had dogs in my life last to 17. I am willing to make the commitment.

•Do you have a fenced yard, or is there a large fenced area nearby? I have a fenced yard.

•Do you have young (i.e under ~8) children (or planning on having children)? We currently do not have any children, there is a possibility of it happening but we aren't planning on it for at least 4-5 years.

•Are you experienced with owning/training dogs?Where do you intend to keep your dog? I have had a couple dogs before and trained them. Ideally I would like to start a dog with crate training and transition to letting the dog free in the house once they have been trained.

•What's the weather like where you live? I live in Denver, so it goes through all the seasons but nothing to harsh. My fiancé definitely is not opposed to doggy sweaters.

•Did you budget for your new dog? We currently don't have a budget but we have the financial capacity to provide any and all needs.

•Where do you intend to get the dog from? (Breeder, shelter, breed specific rescue etc) We plan to get a dog from a breeder. We had a bad experience with a shelter before and it partially jaded us. We really want to raise a dog from the beginning. There are a couple puppy rescues in my area so I am open to that also.

•What are you looking to get out of your dog? (i.e a running buddy, a lap warmer/companion, guard dog…) I would like a mix of a exercise buddy, lap dog, and guard dog... Sorry pretty general.

•Breeds that you are interested in? Dobernan, German Sheppard, Rott, Belgian Mal. I would really love a bigger dog, 60lbs+

What other questions can I answer for you!? lol
