Which clothes dryong apparatus is best?

We've got a dry:soon heated airer and we're pretty happy with it. During warmer weather I just use it as a normal airer, and during the winter the extra heat helps speed things up a bit. Ours has got a timer and a delay function, so you can set it to come on for a couple of hours at night when electricity's cheaper and turn itself off again. I wouldn't bother with the cover though unless you can get one cheap. My sister works for Lakeland and said they get returned a lot.

My biggest tip for drying without a tumble dryer is to give heavy but hard-wearing items like towels an extra spin cycle or two in the washer. Damp from drying clothes indoors hasn't really been a problem for us, but then again I tend to open the windows for a bit in the mornings anyway.
