I think working in the UK used to be a right of passage for many people in Aus but I wouldn't say it's like that at all these days . I don't know anyone thinking of or currently living in UK but know Aussies living in places like Germany , Switzerland , Spain even South American countries . Meanwhile Perth (Aus) is like little Brittain with how many Poms move here.

Not sure how you could say Australia is boring when we still have true wilderness unlike UK where you are always a few Ks at best from civilization . England especially is just a bleak dreary and urbanised not to mention the classism that thankfully doesn't exist in Aus.
