Ok, I know the church did really sketchy things, so I just need to now why does Edelgard hate the church so much? It really never comes up, most of the time her problem with it is that Rhea has been lying and yes that's definitely something that isn't good, but TWSITD have also been secretive and they've definitely lied to her so why doesn't she also try to bring them down especially if she has you, (Byleth) by her side? I understand her not doing so in Azure Moon, Verdant Wind and Silver Snow but Crimson Flower as a whole doesn't make a whole lot of sense. So maybe my issue is more with Crimson Flower's writing than Edelgard as a whole, but still her system to me makes no absolute sense so if you could please explain it to me, because as I've been restating and no one has answered it yet, what doesn't stop nobles to just retake power after she dies, I'd greatly appreciate it!
