Which game gave you stellar first impression but after an hour or so, you got bored and completely dropped it.

Unpopular opinion time: FF7 Remake.

The intro mission is spot on, but then the rest of the game is so boring. I quiet literally cannot understand why it’s so praised right now. I find the game so shallow, and ugly. Everything except the main characters and opening scenes is low quality. You can find tons of examples of cube polys in all details of any scene. You can find low textures anywhere you look. You can find bad animations and character models on any nonstory NPC. The combat is so boring once you learn all it really takes is dodge rolling, self healing and using punisher mode. The pointless slow walking, crawling and shimmying sections, there’s no “loading the scene” need for these. The restrictions on materia usage, you can’t use multiple summons. The double cost ATB + MP system, you need ATB and mana to heal but not to summon, no logic. The combat itself is so sparse, after 20 hours I’ve probably only spent 3-4 fighting. There is no synergy in combat, just do whatever you want at the moment, no planning, no tactics, no expectations of enemy responses. There’s no character customization, the best you get is weapons changing appearance. All these things just add up to a boring experience, nothing is exciting or interesting in this for me.

And that’s not even mentioning anything to do with the story. I actually couldn’t care less about the dementors and cannon changes, if the gameplay was fun.

Ok ready for your downvote.
