Which was the movie villain , evil character or monster that made you say "F*ck the hero, I'm with the bad guy" ?

I've never understood how otherwise fully rational people can be borderline fundamentalist Christians. Indoctrination is powerful, but in an age of free information it truly baffles me. I've heard far too many times that the old testament is a love story, with god being the pushed away lover trying to get the Israeli back. Makes no sense on my end.

The Jesus story. Crikey. I've read the historical sources for that. They consist of the Bible--not exactly trustworthy, and a few scattered snippets in other works. Jewish historian Josephus' work for instance. The passage mentioning Jesus is bordered by in depth commentary on a woman's dream about Anubis and a near riot over Pontius Pilate's new aquifer, and amounts to the apostles creed. It's not even close to the writing style. No full write of the wandering prophet who raised the dead, was followed by and fed thousands, sacked the temple, and had the country baying for his blood before he came back after a few days of death? That's the evidence toted as indisputable proof of his life? Seriously?

Historical dubiousness aside, the morality of the story itself is absurd. He didn't claim to be a god. I don't believe it was ever stated he knew he'd come out of death alive. But being told by your god that your death will save everyone, forever, after already performing miracles through this god? Why in the ever loving fuck is that so grand? There's people every day who sacrifice themselves for one stranger, purely because they think it's the right thing to do.

I only mostly resent Christianity though. A fair amount of the people there are just trying to be good people, and it provides them with comfort in death, an answer for life. Even if it's obvious they don't truly believe it. Hardly gonna begrudge anybody that, I sure would like an answer too
