Which movies ruin your suspension of disbelief by establishing how their world works and then later on flushing those rules down the toilet?

Upside Down with Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess. Not really a well-known movie but I watched this recently and I'm still annoyed by how blatantly this movie disregards its own laws.

Basically the movie takes place on two planets that are right next to each other, about 200m apart, and apparently don't rotate relative to one another because there is one giant company building that connects the two planets.

So the movie explains in the beginning that all matter is only gravitationally attracted by the planet it originates from (which obviously makes no sense, but OK) and if pieces of matter from both planets touch for a prolonged amount of time, they burn.

So how is it possible to construct this giant company building, that serves as work place for people of both planets, meaning some sit on the floor, some on the ceiling, without materials from the two planets touching each other? Also, why are characters from the upper planet ingesting drinks from the lower planet in upside-down glasses. Wouldn't that be extremely dangerous?
