Which punishment (either real or imagined) sounds "light" or "not a big deal" at first, but is actually horrific to experience?

What the fuck.

My parents told us as young as year 1 (so 4/5/6yo) that if a teacher ever says no to us asking to use the toilet, for us to ignore them and go anyway, and that we wouldn’t get in trouble at home for it, and our parents would make sure we don’t get in trouble at school for it either. They said for us to never hold it in.

They also told us that if a teacher is making us stay back, etc. after school, that we can tell them no and/or just leave and we’d never get in trouble by our parents, and theyd make sure we didnt get shit at school. My dad went to an all boys’ school and knows how power-hungry teachers can be.

I was lucky that my teachers were great and that I had great relationships with them, to the point they wouldn’t even question things.
