I haven’t lived there but if geography and climate in the south of France are similar to California, then I’d prefer to be in that region. I also don’t want to move to an extreme political region (which I know it’s not common like in the US) because I’m not necessarily accepted in multiple ways in the US due to my race and preferences, hence the reason looking for similar minded people. A few people here think I’m looking for a California clone, but in reality I’m just trying to find a place that I can adapt easiest during my short stay. Sorry but being from the US, there is literally reasons for people like me to fear driving across a state alone and venturing off from the larger more progressive regions and cities, so sorry if I upset anyone by trying to find a place that feels somewhat like home :)
