Anyone who thinks one is far superior to the other had no appreciation for context.

Their effectiveness depends on what events you use them for. For me, the STR one has been most useful, mainly for Buu and Frieza dokkan events. Therefore the typing simply makes the STR one better.

Anothet part of the reason the STR team is so good is because the STR Adult Gohan drops garunteed 6 times from the Go Forth event/missions, and can be further farmed. The TEQ one is harder to farm, so the TEQ team as a whole is less useful, and therefore might not even get used.

Apart from damage, part of the reason the team is so good is their almost garunteed supers, and the effects of their supers. Greatly lowers attack (STR Great Saiyaman) is far superior to 'may stun' (TEQ Great Saiyaman).

The TEQ Great Saiyaman doesn't have Supreme Power either.

The Saiyamen are only as good as the team they form, and the STR Great Saiyaman is far superior to the TEQ one.

Basically the STR team is awesome for PHY events. But you might not even use the TEQ team for AGL events.
