I know I'm probably going to get nuked for this but Islander fans to an extent ever since the Tavares incident.

Do people genuinely believe their fanbase wouldn't have boo'd the shit out of your star player leaving in their prime? I realize how much he did for us and that management failed him but that doesn't change the fact that he left, especially after saying all he wanted to do was stay.

In my eyes he was free to do whatever he wanted, he'd given more then enough to our franchise and I probably would've done the same thing in his shoes but expecting not to get boo'd? That's pretty ridiculous to me lol and calling an entire fanbase scummy for doing it when I know how passionate and amazing they can be is honestly depressing they have this perception around the league
