Which towns or villages in the U.K. would you work remotely from?

I used to live in Stevenage, Hertfordshire as a kid. Although from a kid perspective, where I didn't have to worry about expenses, it was decent as there were nice parks and the area with the cineworld had family friendly stores activities, arcades etc. But I think kids play on iPads nowadays.

I remember I had Japanese neighbours who turned his garden into a really beautiful Japanese style garden and had his own chicken cage and a small pond with fishes.

The general population seemed kinda poor or lower middle class but the homes were still good, but I think that was just the main area I lived in, Bedwell. I never explored much elsewhere in the town, other than school trips or the nearby parks and town centre.

I don't remember much about the other neighbouring boroughs. There are some rural-ish parts like gloucestershire but it's mostly suburban areas. I remember there also being a large youth population.

It's been 10 years since I lived there, so things may be different. From what I have heard recently, alot of the shops are closing and being renovated. There is currently redevelopment plans to reconstruct their town centre and create more homes. The CGI images of the place looks promising in the future.
