after watching them elect a man with a long, documented history of screwing over White men, I've lost the little bit of belief I had that White people are interested in racial self-preservation or White best interests no matter what their little supremacist groups say.

THIS. Yes it is selfishness (and really hopelessness) disguised as looking out for fellow white people. It's a death drive. I think some "white feminist" groups have been invaded/infiltrated by sociopathic and egotistical people. I've often reflected that it takes a certain amount of unselfishness to be involved in a something like feminism, even white feminism, or civil rights, you have to see your interests as combined and together with other people's interests, you have to put your individual interest on hold and work on a longer term solution where seeing the fruit will take longer and the dividends will not just be to you but to others too.

People could also go ever further and see their oppression as intertwined with other people's oppression and see their interests as combined with the interests of an even larger group of people (I see anti racist men who are also feminist and advocating for all women as practising this), unfortunately we seem to have lost a lot of this anti oppression/anti hierarchy and anti bullying in general. Similar to leaving feminism/womanism and losing faith in working together with other women many people's interests have contracted into just being anti racist or feminist or socialist and it's really a destruction of anti oppressive principles and hopelessness and collapsing into caring about just themselves or their small group. Divide and conquer has been executed well.

For some reason I find black women one of the last few groups that haven't mentally contracted themselves as much this way and tend to understand that things are intertwined and I've seen black women be willing to patiently work on an oppression that doesn't immediately directly benefit them (similar to black women working on women getting the vote and working on black people getting the vote, but neither immediately and directly benefiting them). I don't know if it is because black women are generally always last in line for everything. Anyway it's really nice that someone has a brain in their head and we don't all have to dumb ourselves down incessantly.
