What? It was in the news. Based on your "pointing a gun at the cops" comment you clearly jumped to some other conclusion.

• I did, there was the little black kid that did the same thing, and a half dozen other cases where someone does something stupid, gets killed for it, and the black community raising up as it is racist to them. Usually, only to be found out that the entire thing was a race baiting activity from the get go.

My point is that he didn't, as you claimed, refuse to put down the gun.

• But he didn't put down the gun. That is, almost by definition, refusing to put down the gun. Or do blacks not have to follow the orders from cops now?

The same way they always deal with open-carry.

Crawford never pointed the gun at anyone. This is the heart of the issue, and every indication is that he saw a black guy with a gun, and either made up or imagined the rest

• Except that that isn't the case. True, Ritchie did say he never "shouldered" the gun, he did say he was "swinging it around". Whatever that means - but again, this doesn't show racism. This shows someone incredibly unaware of his surrounding, frighteningly unaware of gun safety, and completely unaware that when the cops tell you to put down the gun, you put down the gun.

When someone gets nervous about a white guy open-carrying (and that does happen) the police don't show up and immediately shoot them.

• Sure they do. Protip - sometimes it is even with a black cop. The difference is whites don't loose their shit when an idiot that happens to be white, gets shot for being an idiot, whereas black people do and assume it is racism when an idiot that happens to be black gets shot for being an idiot. I'm also fairly sure that being able to parlay it into scoring political points weighs a lot as well.
