White House unveils $5 billion plan to blanket US highways with new electric-car chargers

This is the nuance that people don't understand that don't drive EV's. It's not a "stop here, fill to max, drive until uncomfortable, repeat" like you do with a gas car.

You're walking a line of charging efficiency vs driving speed. Nobody in their right mind is letting their gas gage drop until the light turns on then only putting in a half tank. It's a totally different way to think about longer drives.

The other thing that's funny is how it melts peoples brains when you suggest they plan to take 25 minute breaks to charge/get food. Like they'll never ever possibly be able to manage doing their twice-yearly drive to see gma if they don't do it all in one straight shot while pissing in bottles and eating chips for 14 hours.

It's nice to take it easy and enjoy the ride. Check out a few new sights while you're in the area.
