White ‘old boys’ network holding ethnic minority surgeons back from job promotions, researchers say. ‘Deep-rooted disadvantages’ for ethnic minorities and women in healthcare sector, experts say.

I mean i read the article and yeah the numbers look bad but they dont mention any other factors that could contribute to the numbers at all or how they are measuring it.

They simply state that people that are not white males are like 40% less likely to get promoted and theyve 100% decided its that number entirely due to racism and gender inequality.

How are they measuring the likely hood of getting promoted anyway because its unclear. If they are literally just looking at how many white male consultants there are compared to anyone else then surely they have to take into fact how many more or less white males are trying to get that role in the nhs in the first place?

Like idk the numbers because the article just skips out on so many important things that could contribute to the numbers being this bad.

All im saying is its very easy to jump to deep rooted racism without really explaining their "research".

Im not saying there is or isnt a problem but idk man, seems a bit too black and white put this way.
