This is kinda the issue with extremist idealism right? Like it's easy to look for a target without context. Maybe you are or aren't racist but it doesn't matter to them cus all they see is white and to them that means hate. Like average people dont bother searching online or reading so the next best thing is the news and all it's been is Charleston and school shootings. Those few individuals get marked as a figure head to represent the whole. Whole meaning ethnicity just because its sensationalized and its public access. Take the 9/11 bombings for example as soon as it took hold in the news that al-Qaeda look like they do anyone who looked remotely close to central Asian must be a terrorist. Not trying to excuse behaviour but we live in a time of mass misinformation and it's hard to get communities to talk to one another and share disagreements and agreements.
