Just for your personal viewing pleasure. There is pretty much this one Muslim woman in a torrent of bullshit and homophobia that is the standard fare in /r/islam speaking out for us.
She messaged me a few days ago to thank me for saying nice things about her, she was in a bit of a bad place due to family issues, and was heartened to have someone who pretty much otherwise doesn't agree with most of her beliefs say that she is a fucking good person..
We had a really nice and pleasant PM convo.
Meanwhile, on /r/islam Pretty much all of the top comments are disgusting. I'm somewhat pleased that a lot of people in the children threads called them out, but a huge majority agreed that these people deserved to be beaten or killed for their sexuality. And this is a sub that tries to play itself off as moderate.
