Who are you?

Over 40 and one of the few people here to have seen the Rams play in the Coliseum, including the infamous, 1977 Mud Bowl where the Rams FINALLY got a home Playoff game and it rained the entire time, favoring the Vikings.

I was a kid, so I barely remember the game other than the cold rain and the loss. The game has been posted on Youtube and is worth it to hear VIN SCULLY call the game.

I also saw them play the 9ers in Anaheim on Sept 18, 1994. These two pictures of Dana Stubblefield sacking Chris Miller encapsulate what it was like to be a Rams fan back then.

I tried being a fan when they were in St Louis, and did so until 1998. By then I was getting tired of the NFL, feeling so let down by the move, and was sort of cheering for Tennessee during the Super Bowl. I was happy for the LA guys like Slater, who remembered us, but when the Showgirl bashed the LA fans after the victory, I'd had enough. Because of Georgia, I barely watched the NFL for the next 15 years.

When they said the Rams might return, I ignored it since we were told this so many times before, as the league had used LA for so many years. When it became true, it was like my first girlfriend returned. I hadn't been so happy in years. I have had a permagrin knowing I will be able to see my childhood team again.

I'm stoked to see Gurley and the guys and can't wait for the fall. I'll be the one wearing a #89 Fred Dryer jersey

Go Rams!
