Who else has caught themselves thinking “well I’ve never got a DUI…”

A few decades ago, I used to go to the bars in Canada because the drinking age was 19 and I only lived about 20 minutes away from Windsor. It was kind of a right of passage. I don't know how I made it home many nights. I don't know how they let me back into America! All I know is, after getting away with it for so long, it stopped being a big deal. After 9/11 they started requiring a passport to get to Canada so I stopped going and started making other poor choices (warehouse raves in the early 2000s were awesome), but I would have got caught sooner rather than later. I'm very grateful that I don't have a DUI to add to my long list of poor decisions, but I definitely had a problem the whole time.
