Who else is in favor of extra property taxes on second (or third or fourth, etc) homes?

If someone has enough money to buy a second or third home, a tax hike in denver isn’t preventing them from purchase most of the time. Taxes on a $1M home are $4,500 per year. If someone can afford a $1M home, do you really think even a 50% tax hike is going to prevent them from buying it? The answer is no almost every time. I agree rental prices are too high - that is because there is extremely high demand to live here but low supply of units for rent. What the denver and state govt needs to do is incentivize large developers to build units in the denver metro area and increase the speed at which developments can go up. Everyone wants to tax the “rich” - that doesn’t solve the problem.
