I don't know why but I always had the feeling that Eleven is going to survive and that's purely because she almost died so many times already and it's kinda expected.

Instead I think that they will subvert expectations and kill someone unexpected like Mike who like Hopper and Eleven is the only characters who has been featured in all episodes of ST. (due to S2E7)

Mike's death would also make sense in the aspect of him saving his friends and it could maybe lead onto a character arch for Eleven where she has to deal with her biggest love being dead and moving on from that.

I hate what I just wrote and I'm happy that I don't write for the show.
