California is probably the most pro-diversity state in the U.S. Basically it's the result of global immigration from anywhere and everywhere around the globe. It's not just "Mexicans," it's literally everybody. And it's not just the $600,000 homes, it's homes of every price range.

Diversity is California's strength. (Right? Hillary 2020?) So if you're a white person or black person who thinks that since you were born in America, and your parents were born in America, and your grandparents were born in America that maybe somehow you have a "right" to score a reasonable property in San Diego, ha! Guess again.

Not to mention you have to figure every seller in the market has a soft spot for "the little guy." It's not just about the money, it's about the minority. The minority with the highest bid gets the property.

If you're a native American (and I don't mean in the cowboys and "Indians" sense of the term), you're probably going to need 1 to 2 million to have a shot at something reasonable in San Diego.
