Who here owns property outside of the U.S.?

I own two houses in Italy, one near Cinque Terre, and the other way south. I bought the one way south because I was living there. I bought the one up north because a friend needed to unload it and it was a decent deal.

The process was a huge pain and very slow. I worked with no agents and instead used a real estate lawyer. I'd just go that route if you're paying in cash.

I do not rent them. Market value though, the one up north would go for like €600/month, if I rented it to someone year round. If I do a vacation rental then like €1500/month. If people stay only 2 weeks at a time. In the winter there is no market there for rentals.

In the south it would rent for like €2000/month or more. It's 3 houses in one. There is not many vacation rentals where it's at so that's not possible.

Headaches are any maintenance. I have to use trusted people. I have to go back and check on it like once a year.

The one up north is for sale. I'm asking €100K but at this point, just make an offer, I'd probably take it
