I know who the main Villain is in "The Force Awakens". Not crazy! MAJOR SPOILERS! SPREAD THE TRUTH!

There was a planned episode of The Clone Wars that was supposed to feature Darth Revan.

This was all years before Disney bought Star wars so none of that has anything to do with the movie.

Disney would clearly want to unite the canons and boost interest in a game that's currently running. It's in their best interest for all companies involved. Just think of the answer they gave to bioware. They couldn't lie and say no, but they couldn't give away a yes because it would lock down Revan's lore.

I think if Disney was going to make Revan the villain or even put him in episodes 7-9 they would tell EA or Bioware to just not use Revan until at least the first movie or they won't put revan in the movie. the hire ups are trust worthy enough to not leak the information as they would kill to have revan in the new movies as that would increase interest in Revan and therefore swtor.

The look of revan and who is playing Kyle Ren is a non factor they arnt going to limit themselves to actor who look similar to Revan in Eu as they would want the best actor for the role if someone better who looked nothing like revan came along they'd lose nothing in not using him as they could just say this is what he looks like now. or how he always looked. They can just do what they did with Bane make the character canon but not his story. then they also get to make new novels games or whatever and make more money.

Also all material with revan has been indirectly confirmed as non canon all eu material when it was announced was made non canon or "legends" go to http://makingstarwars.net/2014/04/what-star-wars-legends-says-to-me/

"All of the stories told for the last thirty five years are being moved into a new category called Star Wars Legends. The very books that defined the Star Wars Expanded Universe like Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zhan are now legends in the Star Wars universe, but they are not apart of the new continuity Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: Episode VII are setting the stage for. Rebels and Episode VII will join the likes of what is immovable, Star Wars: I-VI and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the works of George Lucas." it was also retweeted by delray books the company the licensed the upcoming and recent star wars novels and comics https://twitter.com/DelReyStarWars/status/459817499521847297

“We’re extremely proud of the hundreds of amazing Star Wars books we’ve published at Del Rey,” said Scott Shannon, SVP, publisher, Del Rey and Digital Content, “And now we’re excited to finally be able to call our upcoming novels true canon — a single, cohesive Star Wars storyline — all while keeping the amazing backlist of Star Wars Legends content in print.”
