Agreed. Lots of Smash fans don't realise that one of the numerous reasons why FE fans feel a disconnect when coming over here is Roy's nostalgia-driven popularity. To be frank, Roy sucks. He's a terrible unit in his own game who lacks the personality to justify you wasting your time with him. He's easily one of the worst protagonists of the franchise who only got into Melee because he was a good advertisement at the time.

Some FE fans hate the FE Smash representation just as much as us Smash fans. They hate how terrible characters like Roy and Corrin get the privileged of being chosen for Smash because they act as an advertisement. They hate how fan favourites like Chrom and Lucina are abysmally represented with some of the most unfaithful movesets in Smash history. They hate how people here spread misinformation about characters such as Roy now having a boisterous personality and it apparently making sense for Lucina to fight like someone she canonically wouldn't be able to point out of a crowd. They hate all of it.
