99% of Hollywood talent is there because of nepotism. The ones that aren't "children of" are "nephews of" or have a connection somewhere down the line. Easiest example I can think of: Jennifer Lopez, who comes from the Bronx but whose dad is also a scientologist, so even if she wasn't born rich by any means, she had a connection to Hoyllwood

Creative talent is genetic, just like being good at maths is. Even if you don't inherit the talent, if your parents are actors / musicians, it's highly likely you will be around their craft since you're born. If you come from a wealthy family, it's highly likely your parents will buy you a musical instrument when you ask for one. So by the time other people start exploring their talent, you have years of experience already and all this happened whilst your brain was being developed...

The problem is the barrier of entry is super high, so people with normal backgrounds are ulikely to make it. Even when they make it, it's super difficult for them to be accepted in that circle because the industry doesn't encompass acting / singing / fashion, it expands to the media and other busines areas

I have no idea where I'm trying to get to with this, except that IMO to say only a few nepotism kids are "actually talented" is a bit rich
