Who is that one person you really hate?

Story time.

Back in Year 9, there was this new kid in school, let's call him Phil. He looked nice enough, and one day I found him in the cafeteria all alone, so I offered for him to sit with me and my friends. We became friends pretty quickly, and he was someone that I felt like I could talk to about anything. We obviously had arguments as best friends do, but I really thought he was a friend for life. Really nice guy.

So, Phil started dating a mutual friend, let's call her Sally. Phil and Sally seemed really happy together, I was pleased for them, everything was fine. They broke up after about a month, and Phil came to me (as he did, we spoke about everything) and told me what happened. Apparently they just wanted to call it off, Sally was being a bit of a prick but that was it.

Now, Phil came from a troubled family. His parents had split up when he was young, and his mum was a bit mental. She went crazy at him for not getting a certain grade even though he did really well anyway. One thing led to another, and Sally's mum offered for him to live with them for a bit. He was going to a college in town and his dad lived too far away, and Phil didn't want to leave his friends behind.

Phil was now missing a motherly figure in his life, and got really close to Sally's mum. He would talk to her for hours on end, confide in her, really creepy. It got to the point where Sally was pissed off because Phil spent more time with her mum than she did. Move on a couple of months, and Phil self diagnoses himself with PTSD. He starts having hallucinations of weird shit, and Sally's mum says that he needs to live with his family as they can't care for him properly.

A few days after he's moved out, Sally and I were joking on Twitter. Phil had made a tweet saying that his sisters were watching videos on his YouTube account, and he had to delete his history so he didn't get recommended videos for young girls. Sally and I joked that they were watching porn, just a really simple joke, and Phil went mental.

That's when I started disliking him. He went crazy at me for such a simple joke, like wtf? I was venting to Sally and some other friends about him because he was really pissing me off, and Sally started telling me what really happened in their relationship. Phil was really controlling and manipulative, and made Sally lose trust in him. He said shit like "who cares about trust when you have love" etc, really trying to manipulate Sally. Sally was on a Skype call one day with another friend, and she was crying because of how nasty Phil was being. It was in a group we all had, so Phil randomly joined and was pressuring Sally to tell him what was wrong. Never learned the full details on that one, but he was being a cunt.

I was never told this. I always thought that Sally was at fault, and never went to her to ask what'd happened. I only heard Phil's side.

So, Phil moved away to live with his dad. However, he came back to college one day to return his locker key and say goodbye to some friends. People at college thought something was up, because we were inseparable and now I didn't like him at all, so they asked Phil what was wrong. A girl I sat next to in class said "why don't you just forgive Phil? I think it's really petty."

So I ask Phil what he told everyone on Facebook, he said he'd told them "the truth", that he was being a cunt over a simple joke and it was his fault. I asked the same girl from my class what he'd said, and she told me that it was my fault and I'd been mean to him on Twitter. We had another mutual friend who told me the same thing. This really pissed me off.

I spoke to him on Facebook again, he carried on lying, saying that he did tell everyone the truth, but clearly he hadn't. He still tried to lie, and said that I was being a horrible person, it was clear that I wouldn't forgive him, but said he wouldn't block me on any social media in case I did forgive him. Five minutes later, I was blocked on everything.

He's a manipulative lying cunt, but now he lives in a far away city and I never have to see him again.
