Who went to their high school reunion?

c/o 95 here, I skipped mine. I figure that social media showed me enough about the lives of these people that I didn't like or talk to from back then and I already stay in touch with the people that I do like and talk to from childhood into adulthood. No need to spend money on the facebook live banquet.

Plus I kind of washed my hands of the whole thing when they were having the planning discussion. I suggested a great caterer and a really nice convention hall but apparently I was thinking too small. Those assholes wanted to do a week long reunion cruise and set up a scholarship fund in our class' name. Who is going to pay for it? I haven't even been on a cruise with my own family yet, I damn sure don't want to pay to go with them. Then a scholarship fund? Seriously people have their own kids and what not to deal with education wise who has money to donate to the "I Want to Show Off How Much Money I Have Memorial Scholarship Fund"? No thanks I'm good. To top it all off, they ended up going with a simple caterer at a convention hall that was more expensive and not as nice as what I had initially suggested.

I had a decent HS experience back in the day. I had friends, went on plenty of dates etc. I pretty much got along with everyone. I wasn't the most popular guy or the star athlete but I was never a nerd or a bullying victim either. I just never like the popular cliques and how they treated the nerds and bullying victims. The same cliques that were driving the HS drama back then were pushing for the cruise/scholarship nonsense for the reunion. Honestly I'm glad that I didn't go.

OP don't feel obligated to go if you don't want to.
