who is your favorite person? Why?

The person that I admire most in my life is my grandfather. I call him, “Papa.” Papa is someone who has been with me my entire life. When I was born, my mother could not afford to give me food and clothes needed. So, she gave me to my grandparents for the first four years of my life. I do not remember much from these times, but my family has tons of pictures of all the different things that we did. Papa would do this thing with me every morning at breakfast. We would turn the ceiling fan on super high, wave our hands at it and sing, “Ohh to the lights and fan!” I guess that I found this some amazing ritual to perform every morning. I would go to daycare for some mornings when I did not have school so my grandparents could work. Papa was a business banker at Bank of America. This is all I remember from those times. When I was four or five years old, I went back to live with my mother. She was...not the greatest mother as far as care goes. Never had enough food or heat, but that was not that bad to deal with. The emotional pain she brought was worse. Thankfully, I have always had Papa there for me to make me feel good every weekend. There was one night when my mom had passed out drunk. I tried to wake her up, she would not get up. I was scared that she was dead, like every other ten-year-old kid would first think. I did the only thing that I knew and called Papa. (I guess those classes in school about calling 911 for emergencies didn’t work well.) He helped me calm down by reading me a bedtime story over the phone until I fell asleep on the phone with him. When I was twelve years old, I told my school about what had been going on. Papa was one of the first people to offer to take care of me. After four long years with him, I was finally under his guardianship legally. Papa is the most caring person that I know. He was always so kind and willing to sacrifice his own time and money, even working an extra three years after retirement to support me and my brother. He is always putting himself after everyone else. These are a few of the reasons that he is the person that I admire most. There are countless more reasons that I try my hardest to emulate him, from his drive to get tough things done, to the way he makes up his bed. He taught me how to brush my teeth, take a shower, clean the car, and to do almost all the other chores in the house. He is the most important person in my life, and his influence has made a big difference will be remembered.

TL;DR : My grandfather because he takes care of everyone he loves.
