To Whom It May Concern RE: Fredette

He played 14 minutes, so I’ll give you that.

I figured we would cheer until his fist point.

Brick. Ha. Again. Haha. Again, again. Again. One for ten. It played into the “cheer every touch”.

And you know, we’d talked recently about how we’re not enemies, just opponents, and it felt like cheering on... oh I don’t know, maybe a guy trying to come play in the USA again.

Folks in the arena didn’t have the luxury of seeing the camera angles you may have, so we didn’t have that feedback.

If you take it as sincere fanboing, sure, embarrassing, but that isn’t what it was. I’ve never seen a game of BYzu basketball. It was just something to cheer. While up 30 against a 17 - 58 team.

I’m not saying it wasn’t a mistake, or with new information, embarrassing.

I’m saying this wasn’t Fredette worship, or even fandom, it was this guy who used to play here, who was good at one level, then a failure at the next, trying to come back to the NBA and failing really bad and we just cheered louder.

If we’re going to be blamed for cheering, I just want to make it clear - if it wasn’t ironic it WOULD have tapered off. He was 1 of 10!

Blame us, get upset, but it was largely tongue in cheek. Be disappointed but accurately!
