Foreigner here who works closely with alot of these people. Every artist I've worked with has been incredibly nice and willing to sit and talk with you. Angel Locsin invited me to the directors tent for pandesal after our scene. When I worked on Goyo, literally everyone from in front and behind the camera was always willing to share their story of how they had gotten into the film industry (Jarold Tarrog is a genius). I think if you go in with an open mind (and hungry to learn) then people will want to share their experiences, regardless of which country you're visiting. I would like to say, however, that Iza Calzado is by far the friendliest and most outgoing artists I've worked with. And yes, the ransom collective is hella dope and Jerms is super friendly and everyone's sister. On an unrelated note I wish more independent movies here got recognized because Filipino people are incredibly creative and it shows in their indie Cinema.
