WIBTA for controlling my daughter's money?

NTA

Maybe try sitting down and having her map out her own budget?

When I was in college my parents also gave me money every month, which I’m very grateful for. I had to spend the first month or two tracking what I spent to understand how much things cost in the real world, and my parents adjusted what they gave me based on that (I needed less than we thought).

I knew exactly how much went to groceries every week, toiletries, school supplies, and the occasional night out or special treat. It felt really good to be able to keep myself on a budget. Maybe help her plan out her weekly/monthly budget so that she can learn some budgeting skills?
