NAH. Every choice has a consequence. She needs to get her head and mortality straight before she goes on stealing from others/ at the stores. If the situation gets worse and at that point, it is no longer under the parents' control. Since she had the thought and balls to steal from others and she needs to own up to her actions. This is gonna be the lesson for her. Gifting it to someone she stole it from is the right choice because she would remember it forever and it makes an impact on her. If her behavior changes down the road, she will get a chance to earn for a Switch. But, the tricky thing here is to make sure the bio dad doesnt go and buy her a switch without you knowing. Otherwise, it ruins the purpose of this whole lesson.
