YTA. You’re stressed and that’s understandable. It’s a lot for you to take on. But your husband could die. I could get why getting his loved ones together for a party ASAP might be important to him. And just because he doesn’t do everything the doctor tells him to doesn’t mean he isn’t sick or that he deserves scorn for that. Coming from someone who is chronically ill, sometimes it is just mentally and emotionally exhausting to follow doctor’s orders 100%. If he thinks he might be dying anyway, I can get why he might want an extra few hours of being awake at night—would you want to sleep through potentially your last few months on this planet? I would want to be awake and alert as much as possible.

So yes you’re going through a lot. But so is he. Don’t be selfish. Put yourself in your husband’s shoes and consider what he must be going through inside his own head.
