It is really odd to me that you’ve never told your wife that you own guns. It seems like something that would have come up in conversation (or at least it has for me and my previous SOs). I’m not against guns. I always had one in my home when I lived alone. Especially when I lived in less safe areas. But, get rid of your illegal gun. There is absolutely no reason to have it and it could put you in jail, which would leave your family alone in that dangerous neighborhood. Tell your wife about all the guns and why you feel you need to keep them until you move. Even if your wife decides to go stay somewhere else, they’ll be much safer out of that neighborhood. Get out of that shitty neighborhood ASAP! It’s no place for a small child.
